Physical Education

Physical Education (PE), Dance and Swimming are taught weekly across the school to promote healthy, active lifestyles and develop pupils' physical competence and confidence.

Healthy, Active Lifestyles

Through PE, pupils build confidence, develop physical skills and learn the importance of teamwork, resilience, respect and sportsmanship.

PE

Pupils develop fundamental movement skills, agility, balance and coordination through a wide range of sports and activities.

Dance

At Key Stage 1, pupils participate in weekly Dance lessons, developing movement skills, creativity, expression and performance.

Swimming

Key Stage 2 pupils attend weekly Swimming lessons every Thursday, developing water confidence and water safety skills.

Progression from Foundation Stage to Year 6

Our PE curriculum follows a clear progression of skills from Foundation Stage through to Year 6. Pupils develop fundamental movement skills, agility, balance and coordination through a wide range of sports and activities.

Through high-quality PE, we aim to inspire all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities.
